Hi, I’m Turner . . . . Welcome. If you want to learn how to make solar panels at home, I may be able to help you out. A few years ago I was probably a lot like you – I didn’t know much about solar energy (dare I say out loud that I kinda’ thought solar was for the tree huggers). I still wouldn’t regard myself as a real expert on the subject, but I sure know a lot more than I did, and I’ve found some really helpful resources written by the real experts. When I started hearing about people making solar panels at home . . . . to say the least, I was skeptical. But I’m a curious sort, so I started surfing around to see what I could find out.
I found out that there are several really good guides on how to make a solar panel at home. There’s some junk out there too.
Well, it took a while for me to sort through the various guides I found on homemade solar panels, but I did discover that you actually can make a solar panel at home that works . . . and fairly inexpensively.
In the process of searching out all of the information on homemade solar panels for myself, I was able to filter out what I think are the best guides to making solar panels at home. Since one of my other passions is computers, I decided to put up this blog and share what I learned. [And, to be honest, to make a little money too
]
So, surf around my site and look at the information that I’ve put together for you. Also check out several of the different “make solar panels at home” guides I’ve found before you attempt to make your own. If you’re not comfortable making your own solar panels, or maybe you just don’t have the time or desire, you’ll also find references for solar panel kits and pre-assembled home solar panels.
As far as “build your own” guides, one I recommend that you consider is Earth4Energy. It’s a 90 page e-book and 3 instructional videos.
